St. George Orthodox Christian Mission is a worshipping community in service to the Holy Trinity - God the Unoriginate Father, God the Only-Begotten Son, and God the All-Holy Spirit. As a parish, we are members of the ancient Christian Patriarchate of Antioch (Acts 11:19-26), and are under the authority of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America.
The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, commonly referred to as the Orthodox Church or the Eastern Orthodox Church, is the unending continuation of the Christian Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ. Since its inception at Pentecost in 33 A.D. (Acts 2), the Church has spread throughout both the ancient and modern world by Christ's Apostles and their successors, who through their apostolic ministry have taken the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to all corners of the globe. The Orthodox Christian faith, according to Saint Jude, “is once and for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3). It is through the grace of the Holy Spirit, and life in Him, that the Orthodox Christian Church is preserved and protected for all time; in the words of our Savior, Jesus Christ, “I will build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18).
We invite everyone to come and experience for themselves this fullness of the faith found in Holy Orthodoxy; the very same Church founded by Christ our God, and faithfully passed down from generation to generation to this present day!
Our Orthodox Christian community at 2654 Red Cliffs Drive, St. George, UT is growing. We are an active parish and we welcome you to join us.
Please come and see for yourself how the Goodness, the Beauty, the Truth, and the Permanence of Orthodox Christianity, given to the world for the salvation of all people, manifests itself as the presence of the Kingdom of God here on earth, and specifically, here in St. George, Utah.
May the Lord bless you, keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you!
